Pakistan chalks out comprehensive strategy to eradicate corruption: NAB Chief

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): Chairman National Accountability
Bureau (NAB), Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Friday said the signing of
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China is significant as
cooperation between the two countries in anti-corruption work
will be further enhanced to eradicate corruption.
According to a message received here from Hubei (China),
in a meeting with Member of Standing Committee of Communist Party
of China (CPC), Huang Chuping, Chairman NAB said that Pakistan has
chalked out a comprehensive strategy to eradicate corruption throug
holistic approach of awareness, prevention and enforcement. They also discussed matters of mutual interest.
Qamar Zaman Chaudhry said that Pakistan is a role model in
eradication of corruption as it is the only country in SAARC region
whose Corruption Perception Index (CPI) according to Transparency International in 2014 decreased from 175 to 126 and in 2015 CPI has decreased from 126 to 117.
Huang Chuping appreciated NAB’s efforts under the
leadership of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry and talked about strategic
partnership between the two countries and need for future
cooperation in the field of Anti-Corruption work.
He said that China attaches great importance to Pakistan and MoU
signed between the two countries for collaboration in Anti-
Corruption work is vital.
