Pakistan fully capable to defend its motherland: Dastagir
ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):Minister for Defence Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan has said that Pakistan was fully
capable to defend its motherland.
The Jawans of Pakistan Armed forces and civilian had given sacrifices of their lives while fighting war against
terrorism, he said while talking to a private news channel.
Commenting on US President’s tweet about aid, he said Pakistan had extended unprecedented cooperation to US for
eliminating the Al-Qaeda from Pakistan and Afghanistan besides fighting war against terrorism.
Pakistan did not have any safe havens for terrorists, he added.
“The terrorists from the soil of Afghanistan targeted our armed forces and civilians due to which, Pakistan
had to suffer a lot,” he said.
He made it clear that Afghanistan’s war would not be fought from the soil of Pakistan.
To a question, he said that Pakistan had started fencing to secure its border.
Replying to a query, he said It was our mistake to provide bases to US during Musharraf regime..
Khurram Dastagir said that Pakistan could gain nothing from US.
Pakistan had to face a huge economic losses due to fighting war against terrorism, he added.
