PDP wants new East India company in IOK: Gilani

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference,
Syed Ali Gilani has hit out at the PDP-BJP led puppet administration, saying
that the regime is conspiring to change demography of Kashmir by setting up
separate colonies for Pandits and Indian soldiers.
Syed Ali Gilani addressing a seminar organized by Tehreek-e-Hurriyet at
Hyderpora in Srinagar said, “We will foil all such attempts aimed at turning
Muslim majority Kashmir into a minority. We will register our protest till the decision to set up separate Sainik and Pandit colonies is revoked,” KMS
reported.
“I condemn those people who are advocating RSS agenda in Kashmir to
change demography of the Kashmir Valley. In 1938, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah
converted Muslim Conference into National Conference and then in 1947
requested Jawahar Lal Nehru to send Army to Kashmir. Then Sheikh Abdullah
tried to strengthen India’s hands to forcibly control Kashmir,” he added.
Gilani said, India has no right to take over land in Kashmir.
Hitting out at PDP, the APHC Chairman said “The party in the name of
Sainik and Pandit colonies and new industrial policy wants to open East India Company in Kashmir.”
He rejected the statement of puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that
non-locals won’t be settled in these colonies. There is no justification in
establishing separate colonies for retired Indian soldiers. India treats Jammu and Kashmir as its colony and has settled non locals due to which Muslims in Jammu are feeling insecure,” he added.
Backed by the puppet administration, “RSS has been staging rallies and
brandishing weapons in broad daylight to scare the minorities in Jammu. The
puppet regime does not even allow pro-freedom leaders to visit Jammu because
they want to keep the region under their control,” he said. Gilani condemned
restrictions on media coverage of the seminar.
