Peaceful resolution of Pak-Afghan border management issue urged

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Former Ambassador Rustam Shah Muhmand has said that peaceful resolution of border management issue through dialogue is
imperative for Pak-Afghan bilateral relations in the region.
Talking in a Radio Pakistan’s Current Affairs program , he said Torkham border was of paramount importance for trade and for daily movement of people on both sides and closing of it might cause million of dollars loss because of trans-border trade.
He said the relatives of refugees and common people traveled through this border and it might be problematic and a matter of serious concern if border was closed for uncertain time period.
He said both the governments must make it sure that Torkham and Chaman
border did not get closed as they were important for trans-border movements andbfor economic activities.
