Pellet victim Insha in Mumbai to regain eyesight

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): The 14-year-old Kashmiri girl Insha
Ahmed, who had lost both her eyes due to the firing of pellets by
Indian forces in July, this year, is in Mumbai hoping to regain
her eyesight.
According to KMS, previous surgery could not undo the damage caused by
the pallets.
Insha is accompanied to the city by senior APHC Hurriyet
leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah’s wife, Dr Bilquees, who said that she
was their third daughter.
“We have come hoping to find a way to get her vision back.
We want the doctors to have a fresh look at the case. If doctors
advise us to go abroad, we may do that too,” said Dr Bilquees.
The girl’s biological parents, Afroza and Mushtaq, are also
accompanying for the check-up. Insha had suffered the deadly
injuries as she was standing beside the window of her first floor
apartment one day to find out why there was a commotion when the
attack completely damaged her eyesight and changed her live
forever.
She was taken to the All India Institute of Medical
Sciences, Delhi, after she developed an infection due to the
pellet injuries on her skull, forehead and eye; she has zero
vision in both eyes at present.
