Plea to approach Int. court of Justice to ensure right of self-determination for Kashmiris: Nasreen Jalil

ISLAMABAD,(MILLAT ONLINE):Chairperson Senate functional committee on Human Rights, Senator Nasreen Jalil, on Saturday said Pakistan should
approach ‘International Court of Justice’ for ensuring the rights of the self-determination for natives of Kashmir valley.
“It is the only forum left which was not approached yet for the due right of Kashmiri people according to the Resolutions
of United Nations”, she said.
Human Rights atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) are not tolerable and International Human Rights organizations
should play their role for highlighting the issue so that people can lead a peaceful lives with their own will, she told
APP.
She further added that they have raised the issue of assault of women, physical torture to the youth and other people
of the occupied valley, use of pellet guns against innocent Kashmir and use of force against civilians by the Indian
forces at all forums.
It is not a matter of any individual, rather it is a tale of almost every home in IOK valley but unfortunately the international
Human Rights activist have not raised their voice against these atrocities, she added.
“We strongly condemn it and request the international forums to come forward and support rights of Kashmir
citizens”, she said.
Senator Sitara Ayaz, sharing her remarks, stated that Human Rights violations is a reality before the whole world
but International Human Rights protectors have paid no heed to their voices.
Pakistan is in a state of strategic war against India since its independence in 1947 on the matter of Kashmir and
the Indian government is still lingering the issue, she said.
She said that the crime against civilians of IOK is evident for anyone and now people have stood up for their rights
with a new spirit after the martyr of Burhan Wani. Now their movement could not be stopped until their issue is
resolved but this issue cannot be resolved in isolation, she added.
All the Pakistani nation stood with them for their just cause and expect from the international community to support
them at all forums for implementation of holding free and fair plebiscite in accordance with the United Nations
Resolution at the earliest.
