PM makes stopover to pays respect at Shah Hamadani’s mausoleum

KULOB, Tajikistan, (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif
on Wednesday made a stopover in the Tajik city of Kulob to pay respects to great sufi saint of 14th century Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani.
The Prime Minister made the stopover on his way to the capital Dushanbe,
where he is due to attend the launching ceremony of the Central Asia South Asia (CASA-1000) project on May 12.
Tajikistan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Saidov Davlatali received the
Prime Minister at the Kulob airport, situated in the Khatlan province.
Soon after his arrival, the Prime Minister visited the mausoleum sufi
scholar and poet Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani.Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif and PM’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi also accompanied him.
The Prime Minister offered fateha at the shrine of the saint who is also
known for spreading Islam in Kashmir through his teachings.
Nawaz Sharif also signed the visitors’ book and wrote his comments.
Later, the Prime Minister departed for Dushanbe after his hour-long stopover in Kulob.
