ISLAMABAD, (APP): Minister of State for Capital
Administration and Development Division (CADD), Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry here on Friday inaugurated the District Polio Control Room.
Chief Commissioner, Islamabad, Zulfiqar Haider, while giving detailed
briefing about the Polio Control Room said that this control room will ensure monitoring of polio teams and give directions to the teams in real time.
The District Control Room established at Chief Commissioner’s office
will be represented by all the stakeholders including District Health Department, ICT, Health Directorate, CDA, WHO, UNICEF, Data Control and National Stop Transmission of Polio Officer, who will sit together to ensure better coordination and integration.
This control room will also coordinate with the Rawalpindi
Administration and data collection strategy would be evolved to make
campaign against polio more effective.
The Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development
Division, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry appreciated the role of ICT Administration in ensuring coordinated efforts by all the stakeholders against polio.
He also congratulated the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad for
establishment of District Polio Control Room at Chief Commissioner’s Office, ICT.
It was informed that the ICT Administration is also coordinating with
the Rawalpindi Administration for eradication of dengue.
