ISLAMABAD, Oct 14 (APP): Preston University here the otherday celebrated, the United Nations International day for Disaster Reduction, aimed at creating awareness among the students, staff and faculty, about earthquakes and Terrorism related Disaster reduction. According to press release issued by the University here, in this connection a comprehensive presentation was made by Dr. Baloch, Executive Director of Disaster Research Institute, Preston University. The presentation was followed by an extensive evacuation drill. A large number of students participated in the drill enthusiastically. Jamil Ahmed Hashmi, Superintendent Police, Diplomatic protection was the chief guest on the occasion.
