Prices of fruits, vegetables remain stable

ISLAMABAD, May 29 (APP): The prices of fruits and vegetables
overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in price of some
items in the federal capital here on Monday.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List issued
here, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major
difference from the price list of the previous week.
According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 35/38 per
kilogram, Onion Rs 26/29, Tomato Rs 23/28, Ginger Rs 97/11, Garlic
(Quetta) Rs 148/160, Garlic Local 96/108, Lemon Rs 198/247, Lady
Finger Rs 34/40, Pumpkin Rs 27/34, Brinjal Rs 19/23, Peas Rs 76/87,
Fresh Bean Rs 75/85, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 29/34,
Cucumber Rs 27/32, Capsicum Rs 55/62, Green Chilli Rs 44/50,
Cauliflower Rs 44/53, Cabbage Rs 18/21, Bitter fourd Rs 30/34, Green
Zucchini Rs 29/34, Spinach Rs 18/22, Raddish Rs 28/33, Turnip Rs
44/55, Yam Rs 86/97, Maroo Rs 19/24, Carrot Rs 31/34, Chicken Rs 127
and Egg per dozen Rs 94.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and
medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs
145/183, Apple Golden Rs 88/127, Apple White Rs 78/115, Apple China
Rs 143/215, Banana Pak Rs 125/15, Banana India Rs 150/180, Pear
China Rs 122/148, Milon Rs 43/55 and Water Melon Rs 18/24, Mango
(Malda) 55/85, Mango (Sindhi) Rs 135/155,Mango (local) Rs 60/80 and
Apricoat Rs 145/180.
The people are asked to ensure that they purchased
vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at
051-9108084 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
