vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in price
of some items in the federal capital here on day.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List issued
here, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major
difference from the price list of the previous week.
According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 26 per
kilogram, Onion Rs 35, Tomato Rs 110/70, Ginger Rs 95, Garlic
(Quetta) Rs 172, Garlic Local 115, Lemon Rs 196, Pumpkin Rs 52,
Brinjal Rs 35, Peas Rs 30, Fresh Bean Rs 68, Tinda Walaiti
(Imported gourd small) Rs 62, Cucumber Rs 22/15, Capsicum Rs
32/22, Green Chilli Rs 46, Cauliflower Rs 22/16, Cabbage Rs 20,
Bitter Gourd Rs 100/75, Green Zucchini Rs 86, Spinach Rs 15/10,
Raddish Rs 16, Turnip Rs 27/18, Yam Rs 74, Maroo Rs 28/20, Carrot
Rs 36/28, Chicken Rs 167 and Egg per dozen Rs 81.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and
medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs
144/105, Apple Golden Rs 115/85, Apple White Rs 98/65, Apple China
Rs 202/170, Banana Pak Rs 105/65, Banana India Rs 145/118, Guava
100/60, Pomegranate Rs 260/210, Kino Rs 90/58, Pear China Rs
172/145, Melon Rs 63/42, Strawberry Rs 170/130 and Water Melon Rs
35/23.
