ISLAMABAD, (APP): Rain-thundershower occurred at
scattered places of the country including Islamabad on Friday.
Rain-thundershower also occurred at Kalat, Quetta, Sibbi,
Sukkur, Larkana, Hazara, D.I Khan, Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, D.G
Khan, Faisalabad divisions, FATA and Kashmir.
Rainfall (mm) recorded by Pakistan Meteorological Department
in various cities including Parachinar 28, Khanpur 17, Bannu 13,
Dadu 12, Quetta (Sheikh Manda), Sukkur 10, Rahim Yar Khan 9, Kalat
6, Shorkot 6, Bahawalpur City, Kakul, Quetta (Samungli), Jhang 5,
Bahawalpur A/P, Kohat, Faisalabad 4, Garhi Dupatta, D.I.Khan, Lahore
A/P Larkana, Zhob 3, Bahawalnagar, Barkhan, Cherat, Peshawar A/P,
Peshawar City 2, Jacobabad, Lahore PBO, Multan, Rawalakot, Sargodha,
D.G.Khan, Muzaffarabad and Balakot 1mm..
In next 24 hours, Rain-thundershower accompanied by gusty
winds is expected at scattered places in Punjab (Rawalpindi,
Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Sahiwal,
Bahawalpur, D.G Khan divisions), Islamabad, KP (Hazara, Mardan,
Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat, D.I Khan divisions), FATA and Kashmir, while
at isolated places in Zhob and Malakand divisions. Hailstorm is
likely at isolated places during the period.
A westerly wave is prevailing over central parts of country.
This weather system is likely to grip upper parts of the country
today and likely to persist till Sunday.
