Repatriation of Afghan refugees from March: UNHCR

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): The United Nations Human Commission for
Refugees (UNHCR) has announced to start repatriation process of Afghan refugees in Pakistan from March this year.
UNHCR announced to start repatriation process of Afghan refugees in
Pakistan from 1st March, this year. Pakistan has extended
stay of the registered Afghan refugees in the country till the end of this year.
The decision was made during the cabinet meeting presided over by Prime
Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad yesterday.
UNHCR Spokesperson, Dunya Aslam Khan said that registration
centers have been set up in several cities including Peshawar and Nowshera, where refugees could register themselves.
She said that refugees returning from Peshawar must register themselves.
However, registration is not necessary for those going to Afghanistan from Sindh and Balochistan province.
