LAHORE, (APP): The position of rivers inflows and outflows at
Tarbela,Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and
the barrages on Wednesday was as follows:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 29900 cusecs and Outflows 20000 cusecs,
Kabul at Nowshera:Inflows 27300 cusecs and Outflows 27300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla:Inflows 56600 cusecs and Outflows 15000 cusecs,Chenab at Marala: Inflows 33500 cusecs and Outflows 29500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 69100 cusecs and Outflows 66100 cusecs,
Chashma: Inflows 89900 cusecs and Outflows 84800 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 43800 cusecs and Outflows 40400 cusecs,Panjnad: Inflows 18900 cusecs and Outflows 16000 cusecs,Guddu: Inflows 65900 cusecs and Outflows 65900 cusecs,Sukkur: Inflows 55600 cusecs and Outflows 29300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 17800 cusecs and Outflows 1300 cusecs.
Reservoirs ( Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet,present level 1447.24 feet,
maximum conservation level 1550 feet,live storage was 1.414 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1113.40 feet,
maximum conservation level 1242 feet,live storage today 0.861. MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 648.00 feet,
maximum conservation level 649 feet,live storage was 0.240 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma,River Kabul
at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows were gauged at 6.00 am.
