LAHORE, (APP): The position of rivers inflow and outflow at
Tarbela,Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and
the barrages on Monday was as follows:
Rivers:Indus at Tarbela:Inflows 41500 cusecs and Outflows 32000 cusecs,
Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 33200 cusecs and Outflows 33200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 72700 cusecs and Outflows 24100 cusecs, Chenab at Marala:Inflows 41500 cusecs and Outflows 37400 cusecs.
Barrages:Jinnah:Inflows 71900 cusecs and Outflows 68400 cusecs,
Chashma:Inflows 66400 cusecs and Outflows 43500 cusecs,Taunsa: Inflows 46600 cusecs and Outflows 42600 cusecs,Panjnad: Inflows 23100 cusecs and Outflows 21400 cusecs,Guddu:Inflows 65800 cusecs and Outflows 62500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 59500 cusecs and Outflows 37000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 13900 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1445.56 feet,
maximum conservation level 1550 feet,live storage was 1.368 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1105.20 feet,
maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage was 0.700 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.80 feet,
maximum conservation level 649 feet,live storage was 0.193 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River
Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours,whereas the other flows were gauged at 6.00 am.
