LAHORE, (APP): The position of rivers inflow and outflow at
Tarbela,Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages on Tuesday was as follows:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 33200 cusecs and Outflows 20000 cusecs,
Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 33200 cusecs and Outflows 33200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 54700 cusecs and Outflows 15000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 44100 cusecs and Outflows 40100 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 98600 cusecs and Outflows 95600 cusecs, Chashma:
Inflows 84300 cusecs and Outflows 63400 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 43800 cusecs and Outflows 40100 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 24200 cusecs and Outflows 21300 cusecs, Guddu:Inflows 65800 cusecs and Outflows 62500 cusecs,Sukkur:Inflows 57400 cusecs and Outflows 31900 cusecs,Kotri:Inflows 14800 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet,present level 1446.52 feet,
maximum conservation level 1550 feet,live storage was 1.394 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet,present level 1109.50 feet,
maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage was 0.779. MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet,present level 647.80 feet,
maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage was 0.232 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma,River Kabul
at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours,whereas other flows were gauged at 6.00 am.
