Rs 2.28 bln spent on 1,766 uplift schemes in Sargodha division

SARGODHA, Oct 21 (APP): A sum of Rs 2.28 billion has been spent on 1,766 development schemes in the Sargodha division. This was disclosed in a meeting of divisional development review committee chaired by the Commissioner Sargodha division. All concerned officials of four districts were also present in the meeting. The meeting was told that a total of 190 schemes were developed under provincial development programme, 54 schemes under Khadim-e-Aala Punjab Rural Road programme, 522 development projects under Pakistan MDG 2015-16, 39 schemes under Divisional Development Programme 2015-16, 947 schemes for school education sector including 16 schemes of modern infrastructure for the tehsil and district headquarter hospitals. The meeting was briefed that under Provincial funds a total Rs 174 million had been spent on 190 schemes while Rs 46.2 million had been spent on 54 schemes under Khadim-e-Aalla road programme. Under the Pakistan Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) 2015-16, a total Rs 9.2 million have been spent on 522 schemes while Rs 3.1 million have also been spent for 39 schemes under District Development Program 2015-16. A total of Rs 13.8 million were spent on 947 schemes under school education sector and Rs 5.4 million for the renovation and provision of modern technology in the hospitals. The meeting also discussed beautification plan of the city and construction of greenbelts. The Commissioner stressed for completion of development schemes within a stipulated time. He also directed the officials concerned to ensure the quality of work and standard along with strict monitoring.
