QUETTA, (MILLAT ONLINE):A terror attack targetting Balochistan
governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai was foiled by security forces, provincial home
minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti told media on Wednesday.
Addressing a joint press conference with DIG Abdul
Razzaq Cheema here earlier, the minister said security forces foiled a
terrorist attack in Qilla Abdulla and arrested two terrorists from Gulistan
area.
The terrorists, namely Hamid Bashir and Munawar, intended
to carry out an attack on Balochistan governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, he said.
The forces recovered suicide jackets and weapons
from the terrorists’ possession during the operation.
Bugti said the provincial government is working on
providing foolproof security to officers.
Speaking to media, DIG Abdul Razzaq Cheema said
church representatives in the province have been assured of security, in a
meeting held a day ago.
Security forces foiled terror bid here yesterday too
by recovering 18-kilogram bomb from Kalli tarkha area here.
The bomb planted by a roadside was recovered by the
security forces, who immediately summoned the Bomb Disposal Squad which defused
the bomb.
Police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel cordoned
off the area and called Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), which defused the explosive
device weighing 15 kilogrammes.
Security forces have launched a probe into the

Authorities said that had the bomb exploded it would
had caused massive loss of life and property.
It may be mentioned here that security forces had
