Sehrai, Altaf, Akbar detained in Humhama police station

ISLAMABAD, (APP): The authorities have lodged the
illegally detained All Parties Hurriyet Conference leaders,
Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Altaf Ahmed Shah and Ayaz Akbar, at
Humhama police station n Srinagar.
The family sources of the incarcerated leaders have said
that they might be shifted either to the jails in Jammu or in
India, KMS reported.
Family members of Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai told mediamen that
he was taken to police station Humhama on Wednesday night.
“He was under house arrest since July 8, 2016. It was around
11 pm on Wednesday night that police officials came and shifted
him to Humhama police station,” they said and added that Muhammad
Ashraf Sehrai was asked to take medicines and clothes along with
him.
Few days back Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai was questioned by
India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials in Srinagar.
The APHC sources said that Altaf Ahmed Shah and Ayaz Akbar
too were shifted to Humhama police station late Wednesday night.
Altaf Shah was under house arrest for the last 54 days while
Ayaz Akbar was detained in Parim Pora police station. The son of
Ayaz Akbar is also under detention and was questioned by the NIA
officials.
Media reports quoting sources said that the occupation
authorities were mulling to shift almost all Hurriyet leaders to
jails either in Jammu or India.
Meanwhile, reports said that the APHC Chairman, Syed Ali
Gilani’s Personal Secretary, Peer Saifullah, continued to remain
hospitalized at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar.
He had recently returned from New Delhi after going through
a medical check-up following which he was questioned by the NIA.
