Senate passes one bill, refers four bills to committees

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The Upper House of Parliament on Monday passed one private member’s bill and
referred four bills to relevant committees for further deliberations.
PPPP Senator Sehar Kamran moved the National Civic Education
Commission Bill, 2017, aimed at promoting Civic Education and creating
awareness, relating to fundamental rights and obligations of citizens.
he House passed this bill unanimously after clause by clause
reading.
The House witnessed introduction of four other private members’
bills including the Islamabad Wildlife (Protection, Preservation, Conservation
and Management) (Amendment) Bill, 2018, the Companies Profits (Workers’
Participation) (Amendment) Bill, 2018, the Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill,
2017] and the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues (Amendment)
Bill, 2017. All these bills were forwarded to the relevant committees for
further consideration.
Another bill – the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill, 2017
– was deferred.
PTI Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Swati withdrew the Elections (Amendment)
Bill, 2017] (Insertion of new section 48A and amendment of section 241) introduced
by him November 6, 2017.
