SHC orders sessions judge Dadu to conduct inspection of High School Phulji

HYDERABAD, October 22, (APP): The Sindh High Court has ordered the District and Sessions Judge of Dadu to conduct inspection of a government high school and submit report in the court. According to the details, the order came on a petition filed by Muhammad Yaqoob Panhwar, a school teacher of Government Phulji High School. The petitioner maintained that the school’s headmaster was charging between Rs. 700 to Rs. 900 fee from the students adding that the amount was being deposited in the headmaster’s personal account. He claimed that the high school’s enrollment was 1,700 students.Panhwar further claimed that when he complained against that allegedly illegal practice before the higher authorities the headmaster used his influence to transfer the petitioner in another school and also lodged an FIR against him. According to Panhwar, he had been transferred to a school which was located on the Sindh and Balochistan’s border and was also being harassed to desist from making complaints. The Hyderabad Circuit Bench also issued notices to the respondents including Sindh Secretary Education, District Education Officer, Headmaster Government Phulji High School and other respondents to submit reply on the next date of hearing.
