ISLAMABAD, (APP): Embassy of Spain will join hands with
National University of Modern Languages (NUML) to further promote
Spanish language in Pakistan.
This was expressed by Ambassador of Spain, Carlos Morales in a
meeting with the Rector NUML Major General(R) Zia ud Din Najam during
on Wednesday.
Director General, NUML Brig Riaz Ahmed Gondal, Registrar Brig (r)
Aminullah Khan and Head Department of Spanish Dr. Asma Naveed were
also present in the meeting.
Ambassador said that there are 500 million speakers of Spanish
language in four different continents and it has become the fastest growing
language.
He said that through Spanish department, NUML is also playing a key
role in promotion of mutual relations between two countries.
He assured Rector NUML that every possible step will be taken to
promote the Spanish department of NUML.
Earlier, Rector NUML Major General (r) Zia ud Din Najam said that
NUML is the only language university of the country and contributing its
share in highlighting the positive image of the country.
He said that Varsity is making all out efforts to promote Spanish
language in the country and Embassy should assist university to provide
study materials for department which will benefit the students to better
understand the language and culture of Spain.
