TDPs registration begins in South Waziristan Agency

WANA, (APP): The political administration of South Waziristan
Agency here Thursday began the registration of temporarily displaced people (TDPs) for their safe and dignified repatriation to their native areas in the agency.
The political administration has opened special registration counters
at political compound South Waziristan Agency, where the TDPs can
registered themselves from March 24 to April 2, for their return journey
to their respective areas under the Government arrangements.
In this connection, Political Officer, Muhammad Sohaib Khan and
Assistant Political Agent Ladha, Shahibzada Najeebullah Khan visited the registration centres and reviewed all the arrangements made for
facilitation of TDPs there.
Talking to reporters, political officer South Waziristan, Muhammad
Shoaib Khan said the registration of TDPs started today and will continue till April 2 next month.
Following successful completion of the registration process, the return
of TDPs will commence from April 10, 2011 under which the affectees of 39 villages including Makeen, Ladha, Kani Gram and Sarokai will be returned.
The TDPs were accommodated at Tank, DIKhan and other areas of Khyber
Pakthunkhwa after Operation Rah-e-Nijat was launched against militants in South Wazirstan Agency in October 2009.
