Two alleged target killers arrested in Peshawar

PESHAWAR, Mar 25 (APP): The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) during an
operation in Afridi Garhi area of the metropolitan city has arrested two alleged target killers on Saturday.
Officials of the CTD have said that the target killers named as Ahmed
and Abdul Razzaq belonged to Afghanistan, an official of the police control confirmed.
The target killers were accused of firing on a police mobile van in
Tehkal area on March 16, 2017 in which a cop was martyred while another sustained injuries, said the official.
Meanwhile, Police also arrested 36 suspects during operations. According
to detail, Police have conducted search operations in Gulberg and Pishtakhara areas of Peshawar and arrested at least 36 suspects.
The police said that 16 people including 12 suspected terrorists were
arrested from Gulberg area while another four were arrested for having incomplete tenancy documents.
Drugs were also recovered from the arrested suspects, police said and
added that more than 200 houses were searched during the operation.
Police arrested 20 people including 11 suspects from Pishtakhara and
surrounding areas. Two pistols and dozens of bullets and drugs were seized in the operation.
