Two-day literary conference to start from April 29 at Landi Kotal

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP): A two-day national conference on the
role of literature in national harmony would be organized by
Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) at Landi Kotal, Federally
Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) from April 29.
Chairman PAL Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim Bughio told APP that the
purpose of the conference is to explore contribution of literature
and academia to bring about positive changes in the society.
He said that writers, linguists, research scholars and
academics from across the country will participate in the conference
to exchange their research work and developments in their particular
field.
He said the renowned scholars including Kishwar Naheed,
Jami Chandio, Shahid Zaman, Shamim Arif Qureshi, Dr. Salahuddin
Mengal, Selab Mehsud, Mehmood Hamid Shahid, Dr. Rauf Pareka, Wahid
Bismal, Haseena Gul, Shakir Hussain Shakir, Dr. Kaleem Shinwari, Taj
Jiyu, Parvesh Shahin, Dr. Amjad Bhatti, Arif Zia, Prof. Aslam
Taseer, Aslam Sahar, Saleem Raz, Rehmat Shah Sahil, Asghar Nadeem
Syed, Dr. Muhammad Yameen, Prof. Amar Sindhi, Basit Bhatti and
others would attend the two-day national literary conference.
A Mushaira would be arranged during the conference while a
cultural show would also be part of the two-day event.
