KHANEWAL, Mar 25 (APP): Police claimed to have arrested
seven members of two gangs involved in stealing motorcycles and
cattle besides recovering stolen items and illegal weapons from
them.
DPO Jehanzaib Nazeer Khan told journalists that Fani Dogar
gang and Shada gang were involved in motorcycle lifting and cattle
stealing, respectively, in Mian Channu area.
A police team raided and arrested Farman alias Fani (ringleader)
and his two accomplices Muhammad Imran and Rizwan Tariq and recovered
five motorcycles, one rikshaw, mobile phones, one kalashnikov, two
pistols and dozens of bullets from them.
In another raid, police arrested Irshad (ringleader of Shada
gang), Hashim, Shahbaz alias Shahbazi and Mahboob, and recovered
cattle worth Rs 1,245,000, one kalashnikov and two pistols from them.
Cases have been registered against the criminals.
The DPO has announced commendatory certificates and cash prizes
for the police teams.
