Youth lay lives to end age-old slavery: Ali Gilani

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet
Conference,Syed Ali Gilani, while paying rich tributes to the martyred youth, Rayees Kachroo and Farooq Ahmad Hurra, has said that our youth lay their lives to end the age-old slavery putting a huge responsibility on our shoulders to honor these sacrifices and take the movement to its logical end.
According to KMS, Ali Gilani, while telephonically addressing mourners
in Pulwama, said, “I pay my heartfelt and sincere tribute to these martyrs and I would have attended their funerals but authorities don’t allow me to move and I am under house arrest since last seven years. They are even barring me from offering religious obligations.”
He assured the people that one day they would emerge as free nation
and asked them to exhibit steadfastness and keep away from the sham parliamentary elections.
In his address, he urged religious clerics to apprise people about the
negative aspects of these elections and inform them about their duties towards freedom movement. “India forcibly has occupied our territory and our youth are presenting their precious lives to resist this slavery,” he added.
“I want to convey you that after participations in funerals of our
youth, it is unethical and unjustified to cast vote and offer support to pro-Indian parties, said Gilani”. It is prerequisite to convey a strong message to world community that we pursue a cherished mission of freedom and in no way, justify, defend or favor forced occupation, he added.
Meanwhile, a delegation comprising Abdul Hameed Magrey, Zahoor-ul-Haq
Gilani and Maulana Mudassir Nadvi participated in funeral prayers of Shahbaz
Shafi Wani alias Raees Kachroo in Rajpora, Pulwama, while as acting president of Pulwama, Mohamad Amin Ahangar led funeral prayers of Farooq Ahmad Hura in Shopian.
On the other hand, Indian police arrested Tehreek-e-Hurriyet activist,
Ghulam Mohammad Hura in Kupwara. Tehreek-e-Hurriyet in its statement strongly condemned police action.
