Continued illegal detention of Shabbir Shah denounced

ISLAMABAD, (APP): The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party
(DFP) has strongly denounced the authorities for placing its Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, continued illegal detention.
The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Held Srinagar, said that
Shabbir Ahmed Shah was imprisoned to prevent him from carrying out his political activities and to keep him away from the people,
Kashmir Media Service reported.
“This detention is unjustified. Shabbir Shah continues to be lodged in
Rajbagh police station since February 25 without any orders. Since his release in 2011, he has been detained for a period of about 30
months including 186 Friday and 9 Eid prayers. This year, he continues to be imprisoned for 76 days,” the spokesman said.
