Islam gives special importance to disabled persons: speakers

LAHORE, Dec 3 (APP):The speakers stressed the need for providing concessions and privileges to the special persons in line with the teachings of Islam.
They were addressing a seminar on International Day for Persons with Disabilities, organised by Al-Ajam Boy Scouts (AABS) here on Sunday.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion were: poetess Saba Mumtaz Bano, Vice President AABS Chaudhry Maqsood, Hassan Islam, writer
and poet Maqsood Ahmed Chughtai, Muhammd Javed and Anas Ishaq.
They said that “Transformation towards sustainable and resilient society for all’ is theme for the day this year.
They said that we should follow the principles of Islam for taking
care of the special persons. They said that it is a responsibility of
society to create opportunities for the special persons for spending a respectable life.
He said that Allah has blessed the special persons with some very unique and creative abilities and there is a need to explore these abilities in larger interest of society.
