Kashmiris’ sacrifices will not go waste: Waza

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza,in Indian occupied Kashmir, has said that the sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiris for securing their inalienable right to self-determination will not go waste and the ongoing freedom movement will be taken to its logical conclusion.
According to Kashmir Media Servic,Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with a party delegation, interacting with several families of the victims in Tral, reiterated that peace and stability in South Asia would remain a dream unless the Kashmir dispute was resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He appealed to the UN to impress upon India to take steps towards peaceful settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.
The delegation included Nisar Ahmed Rathar, Fayaz Ahmed Butt, Shujat-ul-Islam, Zahoor Ahmed, Yawar Ahmed, Aijaz Ahmed, Suhail Ahmed and Ghulam Quadir.
On the other hand, Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, in a statement in Srinagar said that people of Kashmir wanted peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute as per their wishes. He urged India to withdraw its troops from the occupied territory, repeal draconian laws including Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA) and release Kashmiri political prisoners and take steps towards resolutions of the dispute.
In the meantime, JKSM leaders visited different places in Pulwama and Srinagar and addressed corner meetings.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League spokesman has raised concern over the detainee’s plight and demanded shifting of detainees from Indian jails to IOK.
