KP Governor sees regional dialects as precious asset

PESHAWAR, (MILLAT ONLINE):The Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Eng.Iqbal Zafar Jhagra Friday said the regional dialects and languages are in fact
the precious asset and a dominating source of identity and the ongoing efforts
for their sustenance and promotion are a good headway.
This,he stated, while addressing as the chief guest at the 6th
International Hindko Conference in Peshawar. This time, the conference is
titled – “Hind, Aariyayee te Pakistani Zabanan Di Taraqi de zriye Qaumi
Yakjehti Da Hasool (Deriving the Aim of Establishing National Solidarity by
Promoting Hind, Arians and Pakistani languages and Dialects)”.
The moot is participated by a large number of writers and scholars from within the country and abroad besides
prominent citizens of Peshawar. The Chairman of the Gandhara Hindko Board,
Ejaz Ahamd Qaureshi, Vice Chairman, Dr. Adnan Gul, Dr. Salah ud Din and the Secretary,
Muhammad Zia ud Din received the Governor and welcomed the guests.
The Governor while appreciating the conduct of the conference said that in fact, life in entire Pakistan on every account
reflects like a bouquet. Whether from geographical point of view or from
climatic conditions and cultural aspects, it presents pleasant colours to view
and judge, he added.
On this occasion a number of newly written books were placed for exhibition and the Governor formally launched 100
books recently authored by different writers.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Gandhara Hindko Board, Mr. Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi while presenting the address of welcome
highlighted the performance of the organization and aims and objectives of the conference.
