ISLAMABAD, Mar 20 (APP): The Joint Sitting (Majlis-e-Shoora) of the
Parliament will meet on Monday at 5:00 pm mainly to pass the Pakistan International Airlines Corporation(Conversion) Bill, 2016.
The President has summoned the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) in exercise
of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.
The National Assembly Friday also adopted a motion to refer the
Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (Conversion) Bill, 2016 as passed by the lower house and rejected by the Senate to the joint sitting for consideration and passage.
Other bills including Anti-Rape Laws(Criminal Laws Amendment) Bill,
2015; the Anti-Honour Killing Laws (Criminal Laws Amendment) Bill, 2015; the Privatisation Commission (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015; the Torture, Custodial Death and Custodial Rape (Prevention and Punishment) Bill, 2015 and the Gas Theft Control and Recovery Bill, 2014 are likely on the agenda of the Joint Sitting.
