Chinese stocks open lower on profit-taking

HONG KONG, March 23, (APP/AFP) – Chinese shares opened slightly
lower on Wednesday morning, falling for a second day, as investors took profits after a recent rally.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.27 percent, or 8.19
points, to 2,991.17.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second
exchange, eased 0.33 percent, or 6.22 points, to 1,874.56.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index dipped 0.18 percent, or 37.35
points, to 20,629.40 shortly after opening.
