Thousands attend funeral of youth in Tral

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):Thousands of people participated in the funeral of a martyr, Fardeen Ahmad Khandey in Tral area of Pulwama district on Monday.
Khandey was killed along with an associate Manzoor Ahmad Baba during an attack on the training centre of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force in Lethpora area of Awantipora, yesterday, KMS reported.
Men and women lined the streets as the body of 16-year-old Khandey was brought to a local ground in Nazneenpora village. They were raising pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans.
Pertinently, Indian troops and paramilitary personnel had placed a cordon to prevent people from attending the funeral of the martyr; however, they defied restrictions and managed to attend his last rites.
Meanwhile, a youth was injured after being hit by a bullet fired by Indian troops during protests in Drubgam area of Pulwama district. The protests were held against the killing of, Manzoor Ahmad Baba. The troops resorted to use of bullets and teargas shells on the protesters. The injured youth was shifted to a Srinagar hospital for treatment.
Manzoor along with Khanday was killed during an attack on CRPF camp at Lethpora on Sunday.
Complete shutdown was observed in Pulwama district against the killings of two youth Fardeen Ahmad Khandey and Manzoor Baba in Lethpora area of the district. Five CRPF men were left killed and three injured in the pre-dawn attack on Lethpora Training Centre on Sunday.
All shops and other business establishments were closed and public transport remained off the roads.
