Kashmiris pledge persistent struggle against Indian atrocities

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The oppressed Kashmiris would continue their peaceful struggle against Indian atrocities in their occupied territory, pledged speakers of a Seminar organized by APHCJK here on Friday.
Addressing the seminar various leaders said January 5, was the day of renewing pledge of winning freedom from Indian clutches. Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control observed Right to Self Determination Day.
It was on this day in 1949 when the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution supporting the Kashmirs’ right to decide their future for themselves through a UN-sponsored plebiscite.
The day reiterates the long-cherished demand of Kashmiris that they should be granted their birth right to decide about their destiny under the spirit of the internationally-acknowledged UN resolution.
They said India had changed the whole occupied valley into a jail, killing over 500,000 on demanding right to self determination.
Speakers urged UN and international human rights bodies to take notice of Indian atrocities.
Speaker paid tributes to 67 Shuhada of Sopore who were brutally murdered on January 6, 1993.
Seminar was addressed by convener APHCJK Syed Yousaf Naseem, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Manzoorul Haq Butt, Memood Ahmed Sabir, Dr Khalid Aftab Sulehri, Col Farooq and others.
