KARACHI, (APP): Three ships C.V Mehuin, M.V Diamond Sun and
M.V Shangdon hai Da scheduled to load/offload containers, 17,604
tonnes Steel coil and 12,031 tonnes cement were berth date Qasim
International Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal
respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile another ‘Rio madeira’ carrying containers, also arrive
at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at 60% on Thursday
where a total of nine ships namely C.V Mehuin, C.V Maersk Kimi, M.V
Diamond Sun, M.V Shandong Hai Da, M.V New Legend Ruby, M.V New Legend
Ruby, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.V Gloden Wish, M.T Onazia, M.T N. Mars are
currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, steel
coil, project cargo, chemicals, LNG and diesel and S.F seeds
respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 123, 256 tonnes, comprising 70,177 tonnes
imports and 53,079 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo
carried in 2,824 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last
24 hours.
Two container ship ‘Mehuin’ and ‘Maersk Kimi’ sailed out to sea
on Friday morning, while three more ships, LNG carrier ‘Onaiza’
General cargo carrier ‘Shandong Hai’ and chemicals carrier “Atlantic
Glory’ are expected to sail on same day.
Four ships C.V Rio Madeira, C.V Hansa America, M.V Adventure-K
M.T Oky Roe scheduled to load/offload containers, cement and furnace
oil are expected to take berth at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose
Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Friday, while another
containers ship ‘Northern Magnitude’ is due to arrive at Port Qasim on
Saturday.
