RAWALPINDI, March 27 (APP): The troops of Pakistan Army
arrived in the Red Zone of Federal Capital following the requisition
by the government for the security of the sensitive installations
there on Sunday.
“Army has been requisitioned by the government to control
situation and secure Red Zone in Islamabad,” Director
General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt General Asim
Saleem Bajwa tweeted on social media.
The government requisitioned the Army following the
participants of Chehlum of police cop Mumtaz Qadri had reached Red
Zone, which houses Presidency, Prime Minister House, Parliament
House, Supreme Court, Federal Secretariat, Pakistan Television
and many other installations.
