Governor underscores significance of literati in promoting peace
PESHAWAR, (MMILLAT ONLINE):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Iqbal
Zafar Jhagra Saturday said that literati are performing their due role in promotion
of tolerance and peace in the society and their efforts in this connection cannot be
undermined.
He as addressing in ground breaking ceremony of Academy of
Letters Peshawar Office here. He said that promotion of literary activities can
help promoting peace besides ensuring a congenial environment for the people
living and giving them orientation.
Governor said that steps have been taken by the government
to strengthen national institutions and patronizing Academy of Letter is also
included in our list.
He said that academy
of letters would soon establish offices in FATA, Gilgit, Dadu and Muzaffarabad.
He said new office of academy of letters would definitely improve its
performance.
The ceremony was also addressed by Advisor to Prime
Minister, Irfan Siddiqui and Chairman Academy of Letter Paksitan, Dr. Muhammad
Qasim Bhugio.
