Naqeeb case: Two dead belong to Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR, (MILLAT ONLINE):The families from Uch Sharif claimed that their two beloved ones were arrested by police 15 months ago and later they were allegedly killed in a police encounter carried out by the police officer, Rao Anwar in Karachi, in which Naqeeb Ullah Mahsood was also killed.
The brothers of victim, Ishaq and the father of another dead, Sabir approached Bahawalpur-based journalists that they were residents of village Lang in Uch Sharif area of Bahawalpur. They narrated that senior police official of Karachi Police, Rao Anwar shot killed their two beloved ones in the same fake police encounter, in which Naqeeb Ullah, a man hailed from Mahsood tribe of Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA), was shot dead.
The brothers and relatives of Ishaq including Yousuf, Ibrahim and Zakariya and father of Sabir introducing himself as Muhammad Bakhsh told media persons that their beloved ones were innocent and they were never involved in crime. “Both, Ishaq and Sabir, the residents of village Lang in Uch Sharif area in Bahawalpur never remained indulged in any type of crime and you can get evidence of their good character from area people,” they said.
They said police picked up both 15 months back without apprising the details to the families. “We were not aware why Ishaq and Sabir were taken away by law enforcers,” they said. “The police personnel conducted search of our houses besides digging up our courtyard but they could not find any illegal item,” they said adding that after conducting search, the police took away Ishaq and Sabir and later, we got information through media that the two were killed in fake police encounter in Karachi.
Muhammad Bakhsh demanded the provincial government to lodge FIR against Rao Anwar and other police personnel for killing his son.
The brothers of Ishaq also appealed to the concerned authorities to ensure provision of justice to them.
