Spain PM warns of legal consequences if Puigdemont vote allowed
Madrid, (MILLAT ONLINE):Spain’s prime minister warned Tuesday that the speaker of Catalonia’s parliament would face legal consequences if he went ahead with a session to re-elect ousted separatist leader Carles Puigdemont as regional president.
“The parliamentary speaker would undoubtedly face liabilities for failing to respect a court decision,” Mariano Rajoy told Spanish television days after the Constitutional Court ruled that Puigdemont, in Belgium, could not be voted in remotely as his supporters want.
