SHANGLA, Feb 22 (APP)::Deputy Commissioner Shangla, Abdul Hameed Khan Thursday inaugurated two hydel power projects in Chikat and Barkana villages of the district.
The projects were completed by Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) and local communities with an estimated cost of 10.5 million rupees.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner appreciated
the efforts of SRSP and said that projects would change life style of area
people and bring positive change in their living standards.
Project Manager SRSP, Abdul Qahar said that 28 among 45
hydel projects are completed and remaining will be functioning till March. He
said that the projects would change socio-economic conditions of people creating
opportunities of development.
