Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds expected at isolated places

ISLAMABAD, Mar 31 (APP): Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is
expected at isolated places of upper parts of the country while dry
weather conditions to prevail elsewhere in the country.
Thundershower with gusty winds forecast in Khaber Pakhtunkhwa,
Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Northeast Balochistan including
Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi divisions, Rawalpindi division,
Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during this time span.
A westerly wave system is present over Afghanistan and its trough
is affecting upper parts of the country,
The same system is likely to enter Pakistan on Friday and likely to grip upper and central parts till Sunday.
In last 24 hours weather remained dry in most parts of the
country however, rain-thunderstorm occurred at few places in Malakand division and FATA.
Rainfall recorded during this time period was Parachinar 11
mm, Chitral 10mm, Kalam 10mm, Drosh 9mm, Dir 8mm, Mirkhani 8mm,
Lower Dir 3mm, Malamjaba 3mm, Cherat 1mm and Saidu Sharif 1mm.
Highest temperatures recorded on Thursday was Rahim Yar Khan,
Padidan, Shaheed Benazirabad 39øC, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Moenjodaro,
Mithi, Sukkur 38øC, Islamabad 31 øC, Lahore 34 øC, Karachi 32 øC,
Peshawar 32 øC, Quetta 28 øC, Gilgit 27 øC, Chitral 26 øC, Hunza 27
øC, Muzaffarabad 30 øC, Murree 21 øC, Skardu 22 øC, Faisalabad 34
øC, Multan 35 øC, Hyderabad 37 øC, Dir 27 øC and Kalat 23 øC.
Pollen count was 4,229 per m3 of air during this time
duration.
