LHC stops implementation on transfer orders of NAB officer

LAHORE, Mar 31 (APP): The Lahore High Court on Thursday stopped
implementation on transfer orders of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Punjab’s Deputy Director Human Resource, Robina Khalid.
The court also ordered chairman NAB to decide application of the
petitioner regarding her transfer within two weeks on humanitarian grounds.
Justice Ayesha A Malik passed these orders while disposing of a
petition filed by Robina Khalid against her transfer.
Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel arguing before the court submitted
that his client was appointed as deputy director in NAB, in 2015.
He said that the petitioner was not only a resident of Lahore but
also mother of a six-month old baby and her husband DSP Mansoor Qamar was appointed in Lahore as well.
He contended that without solid reasons, no government officer could
be transferred to another location before three-year period.
But, despite all these reasons, the petitioner was transferred from
Lahore to Rawalpindi, he added.
He said that the step was a violation of transfer policy as well as
wed lock policy.
He pointed out that the petitioner moved an application for stopping
her transfer but chairman NAB rejected it.
The court after hearing detailed arguments set aside the orders passed
by Chairman NAB on application and stopped implementation on transfer orders of the petitioner.
The court ordered chairman NAB to decide the application of the
petitioner in accordance with law within two weeks on humanitarian grounds.
