Punjab police committed to meet all challanges

LAHORE, Mar 31 (APP): Punjab police were committed to meet all kind
of challenges including terrorism and for this purpose the lady’s police
were performing their duties energetically side by side with the male
cops.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera said this
while addressing the passing out of the 8th batch of 233 recruit lady constables at Police Training College, Chung here on Thursday.
He said the lady police officers/officials always proved their
capabilities and professionalism at all level. Human history proved
and acknowledged the courage, bravery and determination of the women
at defense fronts, he added.
IGP further said that he felt proud that a large number of women
were joining police department and hoped that after getting such professional training they will perform their duties diligently
and also tried their best to eliminate crime from the society.
He said that there is no gender discrimination in Punjab police
and this is the reason that all 550 passed out batch of lady constables
last year were successfully discharging their duties in all districts
and also busy in providing relief to the women complainants.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant PTS Chung, DIG Fayyaz Ahmad
Dev told the IGP that the passed out ladies belonged to 23 districts
which also included five from FIA. He told that 55 lady recruits were
from Multan, 25 from Gujrat, 20 Bahawalnagar, 19 each Rawalpindi &
Khanewal, 18 Gujranwala, 17 Vehari and from other districts also.
He further said that among these passed out lady recruits are
qualified, 1 is M.Phil, 02 L.L.B, 18 M.A, 100 Graduates, 78 Intermediate
and 38 have passed Matriculation. The training period was comprised of
eight months which commenced from 24th July, 2015.
Later, he distributed the prizes among the distinction holders of
the course.
Additional IGP Training, Capt (R) Usman Khattak, Commandant Police
College Chung, Lahore, Fayyaz Ahmad Dev and other senior police officers were also present on this occasion.
