LAHORE, Mar 31 (APP): The Punjab police questioned 6,563
suspects during search operations across Punjab and detained
244 for further investigation during the last 24 hours.
The operations against suspects are being carried
on the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab
Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera.
The Punjab police conducted 82 search operations, CTD 21
and other agencies conducted 61 intelligence-based operations.
During these operations, 6,563 persons were questioned and
6,343 were released, however, 244 suspects were kept in police
custody for further probe.
The focused areas of the search operations included
residential areas, markets, hotels, rest houses, educational
institutes and other places.
