Malaysia, Senegal sign MoU to boost tourism

KUALA LUMPUR, (MILLAT ONLINE)::Malaysia and the Republic of Senegal Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to encourage and promote cooperation in the tourism sector, Bernama report said.
The MoU was signed by Tourism and Culture Minister, Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz and Tourism Minister of Senegal, Mame Mbaye Niang at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), here.
Malaysia and Senegal agreed to take the necessary steps through collaboration in research and development, as well as joint training pertaining to tourism-related programmes.
Both countries also agreed to exchange promotional publicity materials on tourism, conduct joint organisation of meetings, conventions, travel mart, trade fairs and other areas in the tourism sector.
After the MoU-signing ceremony, a briefing session for the Senegal delegation was held by Tourism Malaysia and the delegates were then taken for a technical visit to the Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex and National Museum of Malaysia.
The delegation also visited several tourist attractions in Putrajaya such as Putra Mosque, Putrajaya International Convention Centre and Putrajaya Botanical Garden.
