Iran, Turkey, Russia to meet in Istanbul next month

TEHRAN, (MILLAT ONLINE)::The trilateral summit is planned to be held in the presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The summit will be held after hosting the Turkey-Russia High-Level Cooperation Council (UDIK) on April 3, an intergovernmental cooperation mechanism between the two countries, IRNA quoted Russian media reports here on Wednesday.
The Syrian conflict is expected to be the issue to be discussed during the summit, along with other regional issues.
Earlier this month, Erdogan spoke over the phone individually with his Russian and Iranian counterparts, respectively and agreed to hold a summit on the conflict in Syria.
On November 22, Rouhani, Putin and Erdogan met in Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi to discuss progress made in the Astana peace talks and changes in de-escalation zones across Syria.
