LAHORE, (APP): The position of rivers inflow and outflow at
Tarbela,Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages on Tuesday was as follows:
Rivers:Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 47100 cusecs and Outflows 58600 cusecs,
Kabul at Nowshera:Inflows 38900 cusecs and Outflows 38900 cusecs, Jhelum
at Mangla: Inflows 51400 cusecs and Outflows 25000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 19700 cusecs and Outflows 14800 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 85000 cusecs and Outflows 77500 cusecs, Chashma:
Inflows 73800 cusecs and Outflows 70000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 63900 cusecs and Outflows 63900 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 36300 cusecs and Outflows 31500 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 88100 cusecs and Outflows 88100 cusecs,Sukkur:Inflows 89400 cusecs and Outflows 61500 cusecs,Kotri:Inflows 38700 cusecs and Outflows 18500 cusecs.
Reservoirs ( Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1483.89 feet,
maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage was 2.941 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1138.60 feet,
maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 1.582 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet,present level 648.00 feet,
maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.240 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul
at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
