Hurriyet leaders condemn killings in IOK

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Pro-freedom leaders and organizations have
strongly condemned the killing of innocent civilians by Indian Army personnel in Kupwara district, Indian occupied Kashmir.
Four people including a woman have died due to the firing of Indian
troops on protesters in Handwara and Drugmulla area of the district in last
two days, reported Kashmir Media Service.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani in a
statement issued in Srinagar said, “People of Kashmir have seen many such
committees and probes in the past. All these probes end up as mere eyewashes.”
The APHC Chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in his statement in Srinagar,
expressing deep shock and grief over the killings, termed it the worst form of state terrorism.
He said that the excessive force used against the protesters by Indian
forces’ personnel enjoying impunity under the protection of black laws like
Armed Forces Special Powers Act clearly showed the intentions of New Delhi and its puppets in the territory.
The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik,
in his statement said that the impunity granted to the Indian forces was
responsible for killing in occupied Kashmir. He said that every time probes
were announced and every time killers were given clean chit and those killed
were proved guilty.
Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, in her statement in
Srinagar, denouncing the killings said that the time had come to start a
decisive movement to end the Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
The General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party,
Maulana Abdullah Tari, in a statement said that the killing spree was part of the loyalty the puppet administration had to exhibit to their masters in New Delhi.
The Chief Patron of Kashmir Concern, UK, Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl in his statement issued in London, described the killing of innocent youth as barbaric and said that the Indian forces continued to kill Kashmiris under a well-planned strategy.
