ISLAMABAD, (APP): Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif
has said that the government will evolve unanimity with all political parties on the formation of Panama inquiry commission.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said consensus on the proposed
inquiry commission was much important for independent and transparent
investigation.
He said the name of Prime Minister was not mentioned in the report,
adding that if some one has evidence than he should present before the
commission.
The minister said justice retired Sarmad Jalal Usmani had earned good
fame and no body could raise objection on his integrity and decisions.
Replying to a question, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)
chief Imran Khan had admitted in his statement that making offshore companies was not a illegal thing.
To another question, he said people of the country had given mandate to
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) for a constitutional term of five years
and the government would complete its tenure.
The minister said that armed forces have rendered sacrifices in war
against terrorism.
He said it was the right of the people to know details of the funds
which were collected in the name of flood victims in 2010 by Imran Khan
Foundation.
Khawaja Asif said through an audit people should know how much
amount was collected and where it was spent, besides the balanced amount.
“Funds were collected for reconstruction of destroyed houses of the flood victims, but where these houses were built, he questioned.
